The Institutional Banking department strives to offer impeccable solutions to the needs of our diverse customer base. Being the department for the institutions we deal with government agencies and departments, financial institutions, Aid agencies, N.G.Os, associations and religious groupings such as churches.

Our focus in serving the above segments have provided us with the requisite experience to offer tailored solutions to our customers’ banking needs. Our solution-based service delivery takes pains to identify the unique financial circumstances of our customers thus giving us the impetus to prove ourselves as the ultimate bank for efficient service delivery.

The Institutional Banking department provides financial solutions to support the growth of a variety of domestic and multinational, institutional and public sector companies. The department provides a focused customer service approach to our institutional clients in all sectors of the economy.

THE RELATIONSHIP BANKING CONCEPT

This s a business perspective that makes customers the focal point of the bank’s total operations and its culture is systematically and entirely committed to the continuous creation of superior customer value.                                                                                                

This concept has been implemented with a view to achieving total customer satisfaction. A customer of Institutional banking is assigned a relationship manager who is tasked to cater for the customer’s banking needs. The customer will no longer be merged into the bank’s mainstream customer base. We recognize that as institutions, the bank has gone through the process of identifying their needs. The Relationship managers are well trained professionals with the passion of understanding and delighting their customers. These are experienced well motivated officers with the core competence skills to provide the customer expert service.

What ever customer’s business function, risk appetite, liquidity profile, our Relationship managers have been trained to give the customer expert financial advice on how to manage their financial resources with a view to maximizing their returns conveniently. In striving to meet this ambitious objective, Institutional banking does not stand alone. We have a group of solid and respected shareholders who are ready to give us the necessary resources to serve our customers better. We have a network of thirteen distribution channels, providing the operational support we need to satisfy customers’ needs.

Treasury and Investment activities

Fund Management: We have established a formidable track record in the management of government project funds and funds of NGOs both local and international.

We manage the provident fund (PF) of customers’ employees with skill and care. Customers’ funds are invested in high yielding securities all with the view to enhancing the value of their funds.

The following Treasury and investment products are also managed in the department;

Fixed deposit; Call deposit; Negotiable Certificate of deposit; Commercial paper; Brokerage services (Treasury bills management); Foreign exchange trading; etc

Credit Supports

In view of the unique nature of our customers, we have developed well tailored credit products to address customers’ needs specific to their profile, e.g. short and long term loans, working capital loans, overdrafts, various forms of bridging finances, guarantees and L/Cs etc.

Operational Account

We have established a formidable track record in the management of government project funds and developed performing systems (payroll management, bill payment services, etc) to help create efficiency and free customers of rudimentary processes in catering for such administrative duties in their financial administration.
